Skedlii makes it easy to upload and schedule your YouTube videos right alongside your other social platforms. This guide will help you connect your channel, prepare your videos, schedule posts, and troubleshoot common issues — all in simple steps.
✅ What You Can Do with Skedlii + YouTube
- Upload a single video and pick when it goes live
- Add a title, description, and hashtags to help your video get found
- Reconnect your account easily if your access expires — your scheduled videos will stay safe!
Note: Live streaming, playlists, and comment management aren’t supported yet.
🔐 Connecting Your YouTube Channel
- Skedlii connects to your YouTube channel using Google sign-in
- Sometimes Google will ask you to reconnect for security reasons
- If your connection expires, we’ll pause your scheduled videos and let you know — just reconnect to keep things running smoothly
✍️ How to Prepare Your Videos
Video Format
- Use MP4 files with standard video and audio (most phones and cameras do this automatically)
- Landscape videos are best (wide screen 16:9), but Shorts should be vertical (tall 9:16, like on your phone)
- Upload 1080p videos at 24 or 30 frames per second for smooth playback; 4K works too but takes longer to process
Video Details
- Write a clear, catchy title and description — you can add hashtags in the description to help people find your video
- Upload a bright, eye-catching thumbnail if you have one ready in your workspace — it helps your video stand out
⏱️ Scheduling Your YouTube Videos in Skedlii
- Skedlii uploads your video, sets when it should go live, and queues it for publishing
- YouTube needs some time to process videos, especially HD and 4K, so plan a little extra time before your scheduled publish
- Don’t worry, Skedlii keeps an eye on your uploads and will alert you if something goes wrong
⚠️ Common Issues and How to Fix Them
❌ "Quota Exceeded"
- YouTube limits how much you can upload or update each day
- Try again later or reduce how often you change video details
❌ "Unsupported Video Format"
- Make sure your video is an MP4 file with standard video and audio (most devices save this by default)
- Avoid unusual video types or super high-quality files that take a long time to process
❌ "Connection Expired"
- Just reconnect your Google account in Social Accounts — your scheduled videos won’t be lost
🧠 Tips for Success
- Keep your titles short and clear with important keywords first
- Add chapters using timestamps in your description (like
00:00 Intro,00:45 Demo) to help viewers navigate - Put your main call-to-action links in the first few lines of your description and use tracking links if you can
- Use 3 to 8 relevant tags — don’t overload with too many
- Always allow extra time for your video to upload and process before it goes live
