Threads Scheduling Guide

Overview

With Skedlii, you can easily post to Threads through Meta’s platform, letting you plan your text updates alongside your Instagram and Facebook posts—all in one place.

Requirements

  • Your Threads account should be set as Creator or Business.
  • Your Instagram Business or Creator account needs to be linked to a Facebook Page.
  • When connecting, please approve all requested permissions so Skedlii can post smoothly on your behalf.

Connect Threads

  1. Make sure your Threads account is linked to your Instagram, and your Instagram is connected to your Facebook Page.
  2. In Skedlii, go to Dashboard → Social Accounts and click Connect Threads.
  3. Approve all the permissions requested in the Meta pop-up.
  4. Once connected, you’ll see your account marked as Active—Skedlii automatically keeps your connection safe and up to date.

What you can post

  • Text-only posts (up to around 500 characters)
  • A single image or a single video per post
  • Links included in captions (note: links won’t be clickable)

Create and schedule with Skedlii

  1. Click Create Post and choose Threads as your platform.
  2. Write your caption and add one image or video if you want.
  3. Optionally, assign your post to a Collection to keep track of your campaigns.
  4. Pick Publish now or Schedule and select the date and time.
  5. Save your post to the queue and watch it appear on your calendar.

Best practices

  • Start with a strong first line and keep your message clear and simple.
  • Use one image or a short video to support your post—avoid putting too much text on images.
  • Include one link with a short call to action, and consider adding UTM tags for tracking.

Troubleshooting

If you get stuck in a login loop or connection fails — Double-check that your Threads account is Creator or Business, linked to Instagram, and that Instagram is connected to a Facebook Page. Then try reconnecting and approve all permissions again.

If your login expires — Go to Social Accounts → Threads → Reconnect to refresh your access. Don’t worry, your drafts will stay safe.

If multiple images or videos are rejected — Threads only supports one media item per post, so please upload just one image or one video.
